Essential Information

When is the Best Time to Visit Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, and Bardia?

Choosing the right time is crucial for a balanced and enjoyable tour across diverse destinations. As you will travel from the high hills of Kathmandu Valley to the low plains of Terai, you need to consider the most suitable condition that allows you to immerse yourself in the unique culture and the bewilderment of the national parks.

Autumn (September to November) is regarded as the best time for the Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, and Bardia Tour. The post-monsoon season offers clear skies with comfortable conditions for traveling. All destinations have milder temperatures. Moreover, the long grasses in the national parks are cut back, offering better chances of wildlife spotting. Traveling in autumn across Nepal gives you dry and sunny weather, ideal for jungle activities and city tours.

Spring (March to May) is another favorable travel period. The temperatures gradually rise, inviting the lowland animals to the water sources. This increases the chances of wildlife spotting in Chitwan and Bardia. Additionally, the parks offer different shades of spring blossoms, making your jungle activities more serene.
