Mr. Rohan Thapa Magar is a young and motivated climbing guide from Gorkha district, a place where the presence of the high Himalayas is part of everyday life. From an early age, he was drawn toward the mountains, watching expeditions pass through and slowly building his own path into climbing.
Over the years, he has gained solid experience in mountaineering and has successfully climbed several well-known peaks in Nepal, including Island Peak, Lobuche East, Ama Dablam, and Mt. Manaslu. Each of these climbs has added to his technical skills and confidence, from handling steep ice and rock sections to working safely at high altitude.
Rohan is trained in climbing techniques, use of equipment, and mountain safety. He understands how quickly conditions can change in the Himalayas and stays alert and prepared throughout the climb. He supports clients not only with technical guidance but also by keeping a steady pace and encouraging them during demanding sections.
Even though he is young, he carries himself with focus and responsibility on the mountain. He is approachable, easy to communicate with, and always ready to help where needed.
Climbing with Rohan feels balanced. There is strong support when the climb gets tough but also a quiet enjoyment of the journey, especially in those early morning hours when the mountains are still and the air feels sharp and clear.
