With the varied climatic zones and geographical variations and most of the country’s being occupied by forests, mountains, lakes and rivers, wetlands, national parks and wildlife reserves, you can genuinely look forward to experiencing the best of the best experiences in Nepal. More than 890 species of birds can be spotted in Nepal; alone, around Kathmandu valley, you can spot most of the birds.
One can visit national parks and wildlife reserves such as Chitwan National Park, Bardiya National Park, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Khaptad National Park and many other natural havens to look for both resident and migratory birds. While on tour, you can also look for the rarest species of birds in Nepal or the world, like the Himalayan Griffon vulture, Bengal Florican, Satyr Tragopan, Himalayan Monal, Sarus Crane, etc. Spotting spiny babbler, which is only found in Nepal, is one of the main highlights of the bird-watching tour and the indigenous bird, the Slaty Woodpecker.
