Our very first day begins with a small drive from Kathmandu to Kurintaar. We can experience a Cable car ride from Kurintar to reach Manakamana Temple. Manakamana Temple is located on the hilltop. Our trek begins from here. Moving forward we pass through many villages with historical lifestyles. You can witness the small kingdoms of Nepal which have turned into small villages now. One of the most beautiful destinations of this trek is Sirandada. The main attraction of Sirandada is Nagepokhari, Dudhpokhari, Bhoteodar and tea garden. Sirananda is very rich for medicinal herbs as well. One of the important medicinal herbs found in this area is Yarshagumba. The next day we move forward to Ghyachowk via Mathar village. Moving forward we reach Barpak village. Barpak village was badly affected during the earthquake of 2015. Now almost everything is rebuilt again. An inhabitant of this village is mostly Gurung people. They are very popular for the Gurkha Army. This Barpak village is full of Gurung culture, custom, tradition, language and its lifestyle.
After Barpak our Lower Manaslu eco trek leads to another similar village Laprak. Here we can observe many houses of the same local design. All the houses are with stone thatched roofs and stone slates spread all over the yard and the trail around the village is so unique which gives surreal experience to the explorers. After Laprak our trek goes to the next village called Nambai Kharka. We end our trek at Gyampesal. You can witness the ancient cave over there. It is believed that Goddess Mother Sita herself has spent some time in this cave.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Kurintaar 3 hrs and trek to Ghairung (1090 m), BLD, Homestay
We start our trip with a short drive from Kathmandu towards Kurintaar. This may take us about 3 hours. After a short drive, you can experience the Cable car ride. You can witness the beautiful views from the cable car. Later we reach the Manakamana Temple which is located at the top of hills. We start to trek north towards the village of Ghairung. It takes about 4 hours of a walk to reach Ghairung.
Day 02: Trek to Gorkha Bazaar (900 m) 6hrs, BLD, Homestay
Today we start our walking after having early breakfast. Walking the trail which leads through Bungkot. Bungkot is a historical place of Nepal where the first Martyr of our country Lakhan Thapa was born. You can witness a beautiful park built in his name which has a collection of his belongings. We continue to walk until we reach the Gorkha bazaar.
Day 03: Excursion at Gorkha to visit Gorkha Palace, Gorkhanath Cave and Gorkha Museum, BLD, Homestay
Since Gorkha is one of the most beautiful historical places where there are many things to be explored. Today we will spend our day exploring nearby places and the palace. We will witness Gorkha Palace situated at thousand feet above Gorkha Bazaar. You can witness fabulous views including mountain views from the top of the Palace. Walking forward you can also visit Gorkhanath Cave. We can also witness the Gorkha museum where many belongings of King Prithivi has been kept.
Day 04: Drive from Gorkha to Bachek 6hrs and trek to Sirandanda [1900 m], BLD, Homestay
Today we will start our day with a drive to Bachek. This may take us around 6 hours. We can overlook Daraudi River which offers a thrilling experience. Once we get to Bachek we will trek short distance towards Sirandanda. Sirandanda has a wide range of medicinal herbs including Yarsagumba. The sunrise and sunset view from here looks magnificent and breathtaking.
Day 05: Trek from Sirandanda to Barpak village (1920 m) 6hrs, BLD, Homestay
We will start our trek walking northeast through the village of Mathar and Ghyachowk. Once we reach to Ghyachowk, we continue our walk following the trail that goes through Dewalsara, Goje, and Alagang. Now we finally arrive at Barpak Village.
Day 06: Trek from Barpak to Laprak village [2100 m] 6hrs, BLD, Homestay
We start our day following the trail that is gentle leveled path for a few hours. Moving forward we will cross through Basukang, which is a junction leading to Rupina La pass. Our trek continues gaining altitude at the village of Laprak. Laprak village is inhabited by Gurung and Tamang people.
Day 07: Trek from Laprak to Nambai Kharka [2700 m] 5hrs, BLD, Homestay
We will continue to follow the trail that is moderate to walk. As we ascend, we come across Nambai Kharka. Nambai Kharka is an open field land that has very few houses. Killing animals is prohibited around this area. Natural vegetation is worth photographing around this area.
Day 08: Morning Hike to Dharche Danda (3220 m) and trek to Tallo Thotneri (2440 m) 8hrs, BLD, Homestay
Today we start a little early and hike to Dharche Danda. We can witness magnificent Panoramic views of more Than 20 highest peaks including Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Machapuchare, Ganesh I, Ganesh II and Himalchuli. These views can be remarkable memory for your lifetime. Dharche Danda also holds huge religious significance among the Gurung tribe. After spending enough time at Dharche Danda we descend towards Tallo Thotneri.
Day 09: Trek from Tallo Thotneri to Gyampesal via Sita Cave (1165 m) 6hrs, BLD, Homestay
Today is the last day of our trek. We will trek downhill towards the famous Sita cave. Sita cave holds a strong religious significance among Hindu people and is surrounded by dense forest. After exploring the cave area we continue our trek until we arrive at Gyampesal.
Day 10: Drive from Gyampesal back to Kathmandu 7hrs, BL.
Today early morning after having breakfast we drive from Gyampesal towards Kathmandu. End of journey.

Lower Manaslu Eco Trek departs from Kathmandu as per our fixed departure dates. You can join any available fixed departure groups if you are a solo or small group travelers if you wish to, when the trips cannot be customized.

How is the Accommodation during the Lower Manaslu Eco Trek?
In Lower Manaslu Eco Trek, we will provide you the homestay accommodations only. A homestay is typically a local house with addition of some extra beds and minor facilities to welcome the guest. Homestay is where you can stay and experience the local lifestyles and cultures. Most of the homestays have Asian style of toilets and no attached bathrooms while few have European toilets. Hot water and hot showers are available on added cost. Sleeping blankets are usually provided but we recommend you to carry your own sleeping bags for the hygienic purpose {can be arranged on request}. At the same time, it’s better to carry your own toiletries including the towels.
