Annapurna Millennium trek is also known as Mid-Hill ridgeline trek which lies on the south-east of Pokhara and north-east of Syangja Waling Bazaar. Millennium trek is one of the newly explored village trek and home-stay trekking trail in western part of Nepal. Millennium trek gives an opportunity to know the real Nepalese tradition, culture and way of life. Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km) 6 to 7 hours

Day 02: Drive from Pokhara to Dulegauda 22 km and trek to Rajasthal

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km) 7 to 8 hours, BL, Hotel

After breakfast, we will drive to the magnificent city Pokhara. On the way to the Pokhara we will be passing through beautiful villages and we can also get the glimpses of the wonderful Himalayas. The lunch will be provided on the way. After about 7-8 hours of drive, we arrive at the lovely lake city Pokhara. After reaching your hotel in Pokhara, you can take some time for refreshments and enjoy some well-deserved leisure time. You might want to relax and have a few drinks and take a walk to the wonderful lakeside.

Day 02: Drive from Pokhara to Dulegauda 22 km and trek to Rajasthal, BLD, Homestay

After breakfast we will have 22 km of drive from Pokhara towards Gachhepani via Dulegaunda. Gachhepani is situated at the Gandaki Zone of the western region in Nepal. It is about 621 meters above sea level. After reaching at Gachhepani, we will have nice lunch at one of the homestays and start our trek towards Rajasthal . At Rajasthal we observe the ruins of the palaces of early kingdoms in Nepal. Gachhepani also opens to the panoramic view of nearby villages Dulegaunda, Khairenitar and Bhimad. At evening, we enjoy the cultural show and the local cuisine. Overnight in Rajasthal homestay.

Day 03: Trek from Rajasthal to Gharedi (980m) 4 to 5 hours, BLD, Homestay

The day starts with an early morning hike to Kolmakot for a lovely Himalayan sunrise. After the beautiful sunrise view, we have our breakfast and continue our trek to Millennium cave. Millennium cave is a natural cave with unique underground water falls and historical forts. On the way break for lunch again and then continue our trek to Gharedi which lies in the Western part of Nepal. We will enjoy the sunset and spend our overnight in Gharedi.

Day 04:  Trek from Gharedi to Pokharichhap (1440 m), BLD, Homestay

After having breakfast we will continue our trek towards Pokharichhap. Pokharichhap also is known as “Kolma” located in the western region 143 km away from Kathmandu. After walking a couple of hours, you will enjoy the beautiful natural scenario and views of snow-capped mountains we reach Pokharichhap. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the local people according to their tradition. Enjoy the local cultural dance, local food and culture. Overnight, you will spend in Pokharichhap.

Day 05: Trek from Pokharichhap to Pelkachaur (1439 m), BLD, Homestay

 After breakfast, we start our trek towards Pelkachaur passing through the green forests enriched with varieties of floras and faunas. Pelkachaur is a nice village where we can see the settlement of diverse ethnical groups like Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, etc. You will have pleasant feeling after watching fabulous views of golden mountains during sunrise which glows reddish oranges during sunset. Overnight stay at Pelkachaur.

Day 06: Trek from Pelkachaur to Majhkotsibalaya (1602 m), BLD, Homestay

We begin our day with a lovely breakfast in the company of shining hills. After breakfast, we start our trek to Majhkotsibalaya. After a walk of about 5 hours, we reach Majhkot (Majhkotsibalaya). It is another beautiful village surrounded by hills all around where we get a chance to interact with the local people, their culture and lifestyle. Here you can see the local people very closely and can take a part in their daily activity like: cooking, washing, drinking, weaving, farming, cattle herding etc. In the evening, you will enjoy the local cultural music performance.

Day 07: Trek from Majhkotsibalaya to Rambachha via Gahate Mankamana and drive to Pokhara, BL, Hotel

On the very last day of our trek, we have our breakfast in Majhkotsibalaya and then descend down to Rambachha. After walking about 3 to 4 hours, crossing many beautiful villages we reach Rambachha where a private vehicle will be waiting for pickup. You will then be transferred to Pokhara. This way you will end your trek on the most beautiful part of the country with the beautiful memories and experiences.

Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (7 hours) and transfer to Hotel, BL.

After breakfast, we drive towards Kathmandu from Pokhara. Driving along the Trishuli River, we crosses countless hills adorned with several small hamlets, enjoying the stunning hilly landscapes and small houses on the way. After almost 6-7 hours drive, we reach Kathmandu in the evening.

Annapurna Millennium Trekking departs from Kathmandu as per our fixed departure dates. You can join any available fixed departure groups if you are a solo or small group travelers if you wish to, when the trips cannot be customized.

But if you are in a private group, fixed departure dates are not suitable for you and so you need to choose your own dates and packages, when you can customize the trek as per your travel needs. You will be staying in a hotel in Pokhara while in the homestays during the trek.

Safe Drinking Water during Annapurna Millennium Trekking

Hydrating yourself is the most important thing to do during the trek. You should drink at least 3 liters of water every day or more. The main reason is to avoid the altitude sickness and to avoid other health issues. Nature Lovers Treks and Tours provides you water purification tablets or liquids to purify the water in the mountains. You can even buy mineral water or boiled water on extra cost.

The cost of the Annapurna Millennium Trekking varies depending upon the number of days you choose to trek. The longer the trek, more expensive it will become. How is the Accommodation during the Annapurna Millennium Trekking?

In Annapurna Millennium trek, we will provide you the homestay accommodations. A homestay is typically a local house with addition of some extra beds and minor facilities to welcome the guest. Homestay is where you can stay and experience the local lifestyles and cultures. Most of the homestays have Asian style of toilets. Hot showers are available but on extra cost. Sleeping blankets are usually provided but we recommend you to carry your own sleeping bags for the hygienic purpose {can be arranged on request}. At the same time, it’s better to carry your own toiletries including the towels.

What are the permits that I need for Annapurna Millennium Trek?

For Annapurna Millennium Trek, you will need to make only one permit: TIMS Card (Trekkers' Information Management System).

How does this tipping system in Nepal works and do I have to tip?

Tipping is not compulsory for Annapurna Millennium Trekking however tipping is all about showing your gratitude and appreciation. We care about our staffs in the fields so we expect you to look after them in return for them looking after you throughout your journey. They are your closest friend in the remotest parts and also your protector whenever anything seems to happen to you. So tipping is highly expected and we’ve made it mandatory too. The amount of gratuities can be determined by yourselves. Normally, a guide and also a porter expects around $10 or more per day.

Can I charge my phones, batteries or other electronic devices in Annapurna Millennium Trekking?

You can charge your electronic devices during Annapurna Millennium Trekking {with some exception days}. Don’t forget to buy a plug adapter or socket fittings before you leave Kathmandu.

Is there WiFi and mobile signal on the Annapurna Millennium Trekking?

Annapurna Millennium Trekking route has good mobile network coverage. And you can buy one of the NTC or Ncell Sim cards from any local phone shops in Kathmandu which has coverage in most parts of the country. It is wiser to buy a sim card with around 4 GB data in Kathmandu and use the mobile data in the trek whenever available.

WiFi is also available on some homestays in Annapurna Millennium Trekking route but if it does, you need to pay extra.

When is the best time to trek to Annapurna Millennium?

Annapurna Millennium Trekking can be done throughout the year. However in average, Spring {March, April and May} and Autumn {September, October and November} are the best times or seasons to trek to Annapurna Millennium. Spring and Autumn are known as the Peak season or Busy season in Nepal. It’s because the temperature is moderate during these seasons and the best panoramic mountain views are guaranteed while during other Summer {June, July and August} and Winter {December, January and February} season, the clear weather is not guaranteed. But if you are an explorer, a photographer and a peace lover, less busy season can also be the right time to do Annapurna Millennium Trekking.

Do I have to worry about the altitude sickness in Annapurna Millennium Trekking?

For those not having previous trekking experiences, please exercise regularly for at least few weeks prior to your trekking departure. Only breakfast is included in Pokhara while full board meals or full meals are included during the trek. Tea and coffee will also be provided during the entire trip. Freshly cooked meals will be served in most of the days and usually the foods are basic and with few choices but they will certainly be healthy and nutritious.
