Panch Pokhari trek and tour is an amazing journey to the base of the Jugal Himal in Sindhupalchowk district which
offers the genuine adventure to all the nature lovers with the panoramic
mountain views and the diverse cultures and bio-diversities.
Starting the journey
from Chautara, we travel through the picturesque valleys, landscapes, terraced
fields and more. Located at the high altitude, the joint of five holy lakes
which is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists possess the unsurpassed beauty and
the unparalleled elegance.
While in the trekking
and camping days, one will see the typical rural settlements, the cattle
herders, the unique local cultures and traditions. Staying beside the nomadic
people and interacting with them who remained unaffected all these times within
the unusual geographical feature can be anyone’s dream. The altitude ranges
from low 1,450 m to high 4,100 m at Panch Pokhari. This spiritual and cultural
trek can be done anytime of the year except the monsoon months, July and
August.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and hotel transfer
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu [1350m] to Chautara [1450m]
Day 03: Trek from Chautara to Sano Okhareni [1965m]
Day 04: Trek from Sano Okhareni to Kami Kharka [2810m]
Day 05: Trek from Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas [3000m]
Day 06: Trek from Pauwa Bas to Hille Bhanjyang [3400m]
Day 07: Trek from Hille Bhanjyang to Narsim Pati [3700m]
Day 08: Trek from Narsim Pati to Panch pokhari [4100m]
Day 09: Trek to Panch pokhari top and continue trek to Tupi Danda

Day 10: Trek from Tupi Danda to Dhap [1200m]
Day 11: Rest day to explore the local cultures, lifestyles and traditions
Day 12: Trek from Dhap to Melamchi [800m]

Panch Pokhari Trek and Tour detailed itinerary
Day 01:
Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in the capital
city and transfer to the respective hotel for the relaxation.
Day 02: Kathmandu [1350m] to Chautara [1450m]
5 hr drive to the
headquarter of Sindhupalchowk district, Chautara village. Our camping day
starts from today.
Day 03: Trek to Sano Okhareni [1965m]
Passing through the small
settlements one can see the diverse ethnic groups living together in harmony.
We will camp near to the pine forest from where one can see the superb views of
mountains.
Day 04: Trek to Kami Kharka [2810m]
Uphill walking to be done
today through rhododendron and pine forests while observing different animals
and birds. Overnight camping on the summer pasture.
Day 05: Trek to Pauwa Bas [3000m]
Gentle walking day today.
Walk about 5-6 hours through the lush forests of rhododendron, oak, pine and
juniper. One can find the shelter for pilgrims in Pauwa Bas.
Day 06: Trek to Hille Bhanjyang [3400m]
This day's walking will be
the mixed steep uphill and downhill before finally getting to Hile Bhanjyang
for the night camp.
Day 07: Trek to Narsim Pati [3700m]
Only 4 hours of walking as
normal days. Great mountain views from the campsite again.
Day 08: Trek to Panchpokhari [4100m]
The day when we arrive to
our holy pilgrimage site, which attracts many Hindus and Buddhists every year
specially around Janaipurnima festival in August. Take a dip in holy water and
after doing all the rituals, rest in the nearby camping.
Day 09: Trek to Panchpokhari top, trek to Tupi Danda [2320m]
To catch a stunning
sunrise over the mountains, we rise and shine early and later walk downhill all
the way to Tupi Danda for the overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Dhap [1200m]
Today we make our journey
to the Tamang village, Dhap through terraced fields where we can learn more of
the typical local cultures and traditions.
Day 11: Rest day to explore the culture
We separate this day so
that you can get more insights into the local cultures, lifestyles, and more.
Day 12: Trek to Melamchi [800m]
Walking along side the
Indrawati river, we pass through the villages and fields and a hydro
electricity project to arrive at Melamchi Pul Bazaar (market). We will camp by
the riverside of Melamchi river where we can take a dip in the river.
Day 13: Melamchi to Kathmandu
4-6 hours scenic drive to
Kathmandu from Melamchi after the completion of the holy Panch Pokhari trekking
and tour.
Day 14: International
departure
Time to be flying back to
sweet home with the unforgettable memory from this wonderful trip.
